Penelitian terbaru membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara kafein dan pemilihan kata-kata berkonotasi positif yang diucapkan seseorang.

Mengonsumsi kopi berkafein dapat membantu otak mengolah kata-kata berkonotasi positif lebih cepat dan lebih akurat. Hal ini tidak berlaku pada kata-kata berkonotasi negatif. Hasil penelitian terbaru dari Jerman itu ditulis dalam jurnal Plos One.

Penelitian yang dipimpin oleh Lars Kuchinke menyelidiki hubungan antara kafein dan tingkat emosional seseorang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mengonsumsi kafein sekitar dua hingga tiga cangkir kopi sebelum melakukan tugas dapat meningkatkan kemampuan otak mengenali kata-kata berkonotasi positif. Para peneliti juga menuliskan bahwa efek kafein pada otak bertanggung jawab untuk memperkuat kemampuan bahasa seseorang.

Sementara itu pada penelitian sebelumnya, diketahui bahwa konsumsi kafein dapat mendongkrak aktivitas pada sistem saraf pusat, serta meningkatkan fungsi otak saat melakukan tugas-tugas sederhana.
